Dana Diesendorf (1999) was born in Germany and at the age of 19 found her home in Barcelona, where she later graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. Since moving to Spain, her work has been shaped by a transformative experience, evolving from a northern sensibility into a vibrant, expressive and celebratory visual language. Her paintings evoke the energy of spring, where flowing lines, dynamic movement and rich color invite the viewer to immerse themselves in an emotional and sensory experience. Inspired by Joan Mitchell and Cecily Brown, she blends abstraction and figuration to create energetic compositions. Her process is highly physical, using her whole body to engage with the canvas in a spontaneous and expressive way.
